Bio

At USJ: Banta made the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) second team all-conference as a freshman on the soccer team. She also won the most improved player award this fall.

2018-19: Banta bested all Blue Jays, leading the team in goals (35), the most since Rose St. Hilaire 2016. She also led in draw controls (66), and was tied for 3rd in ground balls (23). She scored a team-high 9 goals in a 19-2 route of Dean College on March 11. It was the most goals scored by a single player since Rose St. Hilaire in 2016. Scored a goal in all but two games.

Before USJ: A native of Montville, CT, Banta played four years of varsity soccer and lacrosse at Montville High School. She won Eastern Connecticut Conference (ECC) honorable mention her junior and senior years on the soccer field. As a lacrosse player, defense was her identity, winning defensive player of the year four straight seasons, and leading the Indians to the ECC Division III Championship as a junior. She also made first team All-ECC twice (2017-2018). Banta was a high honors student her entire high school career, winning multiple school awards.
