Six From Women's Soccer Selected to All-GNAC Teams
WINTHROP, Mass. – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) announced its 2023 Women's Soccer All-Conference Teams and major award winners on Tuesday afternoon. Voting was conducted by the league's 16 women's soccer head coaches following the regular season and did not take postseason play into account.
Colby-Sawyer's Bridget O'Connell earned the league's top offensive honor as the Offensive Player of the Year, while Johnson & Wales' Emily DeRoehn was recognized as the Defensive Player of the Year. Mitchell goalkeeper Gemma Landry was named Goalkeeper of the Year and JWU's Sophia Warburton earned Rookie of the Year honors. Rivier head coach Daniel Milton was voted Coach of the Year by his peers and Simmons won the Institutional Sportsmanship Award.
