Women's Soccer Suffers Setback At Regis College, 2-0

WESTON, Mass.  The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) women's soccer team suffered a 2-0 road loss to the Pride of Regis College (REG) in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) match at Regis Stadium Wednesday night.

Regis scored a goal in each half while preventing several opportunities from materializing at just the right time. Still, USJ had their chances, especially early, including a strike off the right post from freshman midfielder Jenna Zup (Berlin, Conn.) in the 12th minute. Junior forward Maxine Muscatello (Berlin, Conn.) had two shots on goal, but was unable to sneak one past the Regis keeper. The Pride outshot the Blue Jays 16-11, and held a 6-2 edge on corner kicks. The loss snaps USJ's three-match winning streak.
