Cross Country Competes at 56th Annual Codfish Bowl

BOSTON – The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) cross country team continued the 2024 season, competing in the 56th Annual Codfish Bowl Saturday afternoon at a rain-soaked Franklin Park in Boston, Mass.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Senior Braeden Laframboise (Southington, Conn.) paced the men during the 8k, finishing in 31st place, the best finish for a Division III athlete at the event, after crossing the line in a time of 27:33.4.
  • Senior Patrick O' Connor (Cheshire, Conn.) was next to cross the finish line for USJ, finishing in 159th place with a time of 33:44.9.
  • Junior Jayden Medina (Plantsville, Conn.) rounded out the Blue Jays on the men's side, finishing in 205th with a time of 42:44.0
  • Junior Faith Shores (West Simsbury, Conn.) was the lone USJ runner in the women's 5k, placing 87th after recording a time of 22:56.4

Cross country returns to action next on Saturday, September 28 for the Founding Tree Invitational, hosted by Hampshrie College in Amherst, Mass.
