Women's Cross Country Earns USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Distinction

NEW ORLEANS – The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) women's cross country team was recently recognized by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), earning All-Academic Team distinctions. After having a tremendous fall semester in the classroom, the women's team earned the accolade after combining for a 3.37 team GPA.

USTFCCCA ALL-ACADEMIC RELEASE

The women's team is joined by Saint Joseph's College of Maine from the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) to receive the accolade. The Monks combined for a 3.45 cumulative GPA for the fall semester.

Carleton was named the Women's Scholar Team of the Year for the 2023 NCAA Division III Cross Country season. The Knights, who maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.52, won the team title at the 2023 NCAA DIII Cross Country Championships. With that being Carleton's first national title in program history, this is also the first time Carleton has been named Women's Scholar Team of the Year during the cross country season.

In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers.
