Women's Tennis Lands Three on CSC Academic All-District Team
WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Senior Ananya Srivatsav (South Windsor, Conn.) and sophomores Gia Alvarez (Meriden, Conn.) and Liliana Garcia (Wethersfield, Conn.) of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) women's tennis team received College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District honors, the organization announced Tuesday.
The 2023-24 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Tennis Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
To be an Academic All-District® honoree, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore at their institution, have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above, and need to be in the lineup for 70% of matches that include team scores. A graduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as both an undergraduate and a grad student unless they are in their first semester as a graduate student and don't have an established graduate GPA.

Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 4 (women) and June 5 (men).
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
