Picard and Zappone Named to All-GNAC Third Team

WINTHROP, Mass. – Juniors Zoe Zappone (Plymouth, Conn.) and Alana Picard (Windsor Locks, Conn.) of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) women's soccer team wer named to the All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Third Team it was announced by the league's front office during its unveiling of the year-end awards. In addition, sophomore Charlotte Dunleavy (Durham, Conn.) was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team. The end of year awards are voted on by the league's head coaches.

OFFICIAL GNAC RELEASE

Picard enjoyed a stellar offensive season, leading the Blue Jays with a team-high 20 points off eight goals and four assists. The junior also netted two game-winning goals on the season.

Zappone helped anchor a defensive unit that kept six shutouts on the year. She also was highly effective on the offensive end, talling nine points off three goals and three assists.
