WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) women's soccer team fell on the road to cross-town foes the University of Hartford (Hartford), 6-0, during non-conference play Wednesday night at Al-Marzook Field in West Hartford, Conn. The Hawks were receiving votes in the latest United Soccer Coaches (USC) National Poll. With the result, the Blue Jays drop to 2-6-0 on the year, while the Hawks move to 3-1-1.
KEY MOMENTS
- The Blue Jays would be able to hold off the Hawks in the opening 25 minutes, playing sound defense against the hosts.
- However, Hartford found the games first goal, taking the lead at the 28:22 mark.
- The Hawks quickly increased the gap to 2-0 at the 30:44 mark, before scoring twice more in the final minutes of the half to take a 4-0 lead into the break.
- Hartford would score twice more in the second half to secure the victory, 6-0.
