Women's Soccer Suffers Setback at Connecticut College Tuesday, 6-0

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) women's soccer team was bested by intrastate foes Connecticut College (Connecticut), 6-0, during non-conference play Tuesday night at Freeman Field in New London, Conn. With the result, the Blue Jays dropped to 0-3-0 to start the young season, while the Camels moved to 1-0-0, winning their season opener.

  • The Camels dominated the opening 45 minutes, preventing USJ from taking a single shot as they scored four goals to take a 4-0 edge into the second half.
  • Connecticut continued to control the game, scoring twice more while allowing only one USJ shot to secure the victory, 6-0.

  • The Camels outshot the Blue Jays, 37-1.
  • Sophomore goalkeeper Madison Corcoran (Bristol, Conn.) tallied 11 saves on the day.
