Women's Soccer Wins Third Straight, Shuts Out Simmons Saturday, 3-0

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) women's soccer team continued its dominant play, picking up its third straight win and second consecutive shutout, blanking the visiting Simmons University Sharks, 3-0, in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference GNAC) match on a beautiful fall Saturday afternoon at the USJ Soccer Field in West Hartford, Conn. With the triumph, the Blue Jays improve to 4-2-0 overall and remain perfect in GNAC play at 4-0-0. The loss drops Simmons to 0-5-1 overall and 0-3-1 in conference contests.

Women's soccer will look to make it four wins in a row when it plays on Wednesday, September 20 on the road at Anna Maria College. Kickoff between the Blue Jays and AMCATS is slated for 7:00 p.m. under the lights at Caparso Field in Paxton, Mass.
