Lasell Lax Tops USJ, 19-2

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – The University of Saint Joseph lacrosse team lost a 19-2 game to Lasell College Saturday in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference game Saturday afternoon.

The win moved the Lasers to 7-5 overall and 3-2 in conference play. USJ dropped to 4-8 overall and 1—5 in GNAC play.

Freshman Rose St. Hilaire (West Hartford, Conn.) scored both St. Joseph goals, and now has 43 this season. Sophomore Emily Bourassa (Bristol, Conn.) made 16 saves for the Blue Jays.

Freshman Cailin Flannery (Medford, N.J.) scored four goals for Lasell and freshman Riley Musial (Clinton, Conn.) notched a hat trick for the Lasers, which led 12-1 at halftime. Lasell outshot USJ 41-8 and picked up more ground balls, 29-8.

The Blue Jays will next play at Johnson & Wales Tuesday night in a GNAC game at 7 p.m.
