NASHUA, N.H. – The University of Saint Joseph lacrosse team dropped a 14-1 decision at Rivier Saturday in a GNAC game at Raider Field.
Rivier improved to 5-5 on the season and is 1-2 in the GNAC; USJ is 3-6 overall and 0-4 in the GNAC.
Rivier went up 3-0 before Rose St. Hilaire (West Hartford, Conn.) got USJ on the board. Her free position shot with 15:11 left in the first half was her team-leading 27th goal of the season. Unfortunately, that would be all the scoring for the Blue Jays, who trailed 9-1 at halftime.
Emily Bourassa (Bristol, Conn.) made 19 saves in net for USJ. Rivier outshot USJ 41-16 and had a 29-7 ground ball advantage.
USJ next plays at Albertus in a 4 p.m. GNAC game, Tuesday, April 12.
