Ouellette Repeats as NEWBA Team of the Week Honoree

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Graduate student forward Jordan Ouellette (Bristol, Conn.) of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) women's basketball team was selected to the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) Week Eight Second Team, it was announced by association officials on Wednesday in its eighth weekly awards release of the season. It marked the 12th career weekly NEWBA honor for Ouellette, her third this season and second in a row, and the fourth for the Blue Jays in 2024-25.

Ouellette had a stellar week, averaging 21.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per contest to lead the Blue Jays to a perfect 2-0 record. She started the week with 22 points, shooting 11-of-13 from the field, while hauling in 11 rebounds during the teams road victory at Anna Maria. Ouellette rounded out her week with 21 points and 12 rebounds during a home win against Rivier.

UP NEXT

The Blue Jays round out a two-game road trip on Saturday, January 25, heading to Weston, Mass., to face Regis College. Tipoff against the Pride on Higgins Court is set for 1:00 p.m.

The New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) provides support for coaches from the New England Region. Membership in NEWBA is open to all Division III head coaches from the region who have a vested interest in the welfare of the organization.
