
Ouellette Named to NEWBA Team of the Week
WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Graduate student forward Jordan Ouellette (Bristol, Conn.) of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) women's basketball team was selected to the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) Week Seven First Team, it was announced by association officials on Wednesday in its seventh weekly awards release of the season. It marked the 11th career weekly NEWBA honor for Ouellette, her second this season and the third for the Blue Jays in 2024-25.
Ouellette paced the Blue Jays during a perfect 2-0 week, averaging 19.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 2.0 steals and 2.5 blocks per game. SHe started the week with 22 points, 7 rebounds, 1 steal and 3 blocks in a road win at New England College. Ouellette then rounded out the week with 16 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks in a home win against Norwich.
UP NEXT
The Blue Jays head back on the road, making the trek to Paxton, Mass., to face Anna Maria College tonight, Wednesday, January 15. Tipoff against the AMCATS inside the Fuller Activities Center is set for 5:00 p.m.

The New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) provides support for coaches from the New England Region. Membership in NEWBA is open to all Division III head coaches from the region who have a vested interest in the welfare of the organization.
