
Ouellette Named to NEWBA Team of the Week
WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Senior forward Jordan Ouellette (Bristol, Conn.) of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) women's basketball team was selected to the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) All-Second Team, it was announced by association officials on Tuesday in its third weekly awards of the season. It marks the sixth career weekly NEWBA honor for Ouellette, and the third for the Blue Jays this season.
Ouellette had a stellar week for USJ, lifting the team to a perfect 3-0 record after averaging 21.3 points, 9.7 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. She started the week by dropping 13 points, eight rebounds and six assists in the 79-54 win over Salve Regina. Ouellette then followed up her performance with a season-high 29 points and 9 rebounds in the comeback victory against John Jay before rounding out the week with a double-double, scoring 22 points while hauling in 12 rebounds to lift USJ past NEC in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play.
UP NEXT
Ouellette and the Blue Jays return to the court on Saturday, December 30th for the opening day of the Smith Holiday Tournament. USJ is set to face the No. 9 nationally ranked host Pioneers at 1:00 p.m. inside Ainsworth Gym in Northampton, Mass.

The New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) provides support for coaches from the New England Region. Membership in NEWBA is open to all Division III head coaches from the region who have a vested interest in the welfare of the organization.
