Blue Jays Bully Badgers, Bounce Back With 79-52 Win

JOHNSON, Vt. The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) women's basketball team bounced back with a 79-52 blowout win over Northern Vermont University-Johnson (NVUJ) Sunday afternoon, behind career-high performances from two freshmen, inside Carter Gymnasium in non-conference action.

Freshman forward Meredith Forman (Bristol, Conn.) scored a career-high 15 points off the bench (6-7 FG) to lead the way for the Blue Jays, who have already more than doubled their win total from a year ago. Freshman forward Madison McElroy (Colchester, Vt.) equaled Forman's effort with a career-high 10 points and five rebounds. McElroy has scored 30 points over the last four games. She scored just nine points in the first eight.

Sophomore forward Lindsey Montminy (Vernon, Conn.) had a team-high and season high 11 rebounds to go along with four points. Freshman guard Kiana Johnson (Chelsea, Vt.) was the only Badger in double-figures with 13. The Blue Jays turned a 10-point halftime lead into a 21 point route by the end of the third.
