Putnam Selected to NEWBA Senior All-Star Classic
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Senior guard Carlee Putnam (Niantic, Conn.) of the University of Saint Joseph basketball team has been selected to participate in the 2017 NEWBA Senior All-Star Classic, it was announced by the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) regional office. The Senior All-Star Classic will be held on Saturday, March 25 at Mount Holyoke College's Mildred S. Howard Gymnasium beginning at 2 p.m.
Putnam started in all 25 contests for the Blue Jays this season, averaging 15.1 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.8 steals per game. She scored in double figures 19 times, netting a season-high 28 points on three separate occasions. She finishes her three-year USJ playing career eighth on the all-time scoring list with 908 points, sixth in blocks (79) and fifth in three-pointers made (117).
