Softball Lands Five on CSC Academic All-District Team
WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Junior Jenna Zup (Berlin, Conn.) and sophomores Emma Carpenter (Brooklyn, Conn.), Allison Conger (Plainfield, Conn.), Paige Fekete (Watertown, Conn.) and Kaitlyn Ouellette (Wolcott, Conn.) of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) softball team received College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District honors, the organization announced Tuesday.
The 2023-24 Academic All-District® Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
To be an Academic All-District® honoree, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore at their institution, have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above, and must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games/contests played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games/contests. Pitchers must make 17 appearances or pitch atleast 25 innings. A graduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as both an undergraduate and a grad student unless they are in their first semester as a graduate student and don't have an established graduate GPA.

Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 18.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
