Six Blue Jays Named Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar Athletes

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) softball team saw six student-athletes receive National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete honors, the organization recently announced. To be recognized, an individual must own a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or better.

The Blue Jay's honorees include freshmen Kaitlyn Ouellette (Wolcott, Conn.) and Paige Fekete (Watertown, Conn.), sophomores Jenna Zup (Berlin, Conn.), Elaina Previty (Pawcatuck, Conn.) and Emily Beyer (Prospect, Conn.) and senior Liliana Stoddard (Waterford, Conn.).

Additionally, as a team the Blue Jays were one of 125 programs to earn Easton/NFCA Team GPA honors, posting a 3.3 grade-point average for the 2022-23 academic year.

About the NFCA
Celebrating 40 years in 2023, the NFCA (National Fastpitch Coaches Association) is the professional organization for fastpitch softball coaches. Known for its highly-regarded Awards Program, the NFCA also educates and supports softball coaches on a variety of different levels: from NFCA podcasts to a comprehensive drills database, to in-person events and a National Convention.
