Amato Named Second Team, Five Earn All-GNAC Softball Honors

WINTHROP, Mass. – Five student-athletes from the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) softball program were selected to All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Teams, it was announced on Tuesday by the league's front office. Voted on by the league's 13 head coaches, senior pitcher Natalie Amato (Cheshire, Conn.) led the way for the Blue Jays and was named to the All-GNAC Second Team. A trio were tabbed to the All-GNAC Third Team as junior third baseman Liliana Stoddard (Waterford, Conn.), freshman utility Amanda Savinelli (New Haven, Conn.), and freshman designated player Alexandra Silver (Vernon, Conn.) garnered the honor at each of their respective positions. Additionally, Silver was selected to the GNAC All-Rookie Team and freshman Emily Beyer (Prospect, Conn.) was picked to the GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
