Laframboise Records Third-Place Finish, Leads Cross Country at GNAC Championships

NORTHFIELD, Vt. - Senior Braeden Laframboise (Southington, Conn.) paced the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) cross country team at the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championships, finishing in third place during the men's 8K, Saturday afternoon at Norwich University in Northfield, Vt. As a result of his third-place finish, Laframboise also earned a spot on the All-GNAC First Team.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Laframboise topped the timing sheet for USJ, finishing in third place after crossing the line in a time of 26:59.80.
  • Senior Patrick O' Connor (Cheshire, Conn.) was next to cross the finish line, recording a 48th place finish after recording a time of 33:22.70.
  • Junior Jayden Medina (Plantsville, Conn.) rounded out the Blue Jays' lineup, finishing in 81st place in a time of 40:43.80
  • Junior Faith Shores (West Simsbury, Conn.) was the lone USJ runner in the women's 6K, placing 27th after recording a time of 27:32.50.

UP NEXT

Cross country rounds out the year with the NCAA Mideast Regional Championships on Saturday, November 16. Held at Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford, Conn., the event is set to begin at noon.
