Cross Country Competes at CCSU Mini Meet

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. – Senior Braeden Laframboise (Southington, Conn.) paced the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) cross country team at the CCSU Mini Meet, finishing in 63rd place during the men's varsity 5K, Friday afternoon at Stanley Quarter Park in New Britain, Conn.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Laframboise was the lone Blue Jay in the varsity 5K race, finishing in 63rd place with a time of 15:56.37.
  • Sophomore Nick Peterson (West Hartford, Conn.) was the first USJ finisher in the men's sub varsity 5K, recording a 79th place finish, crossing the finish line in a time of 19:09.49.
  • Senior Patrick O' Connor (Cheshire, Conn.) rounded out the men's sub varsity 5K for USJ, finishing in 81st place with a time of 19:44.09
  • Junior Faith Shores (West Simsbury, Conn.) was the lone USJ runner in the women's sub varsity 3K, placing 48th after recording a time of 12:40.11.

UP NEXT

Cross country heads to Northfield, Vt., for the 2024 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Cross Country Championships on Saturday, November 2. Hosted by the Norwich University, the meet is slated to begin at 11:00 a.m.
