
Cross Country Competes at Founding Tree Invitational
AMHERST, Mass. – Senior Braeden Laframboise (Southington, Conn.) finished in third-place during the men's 8K race, pacing the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) cross country team at the Founding Tree Invitational, hosted by Hampshire College in Amherst, Mass., Saturday morning. Laframboise's time of 27:12.00 was a 21 second improvement over his 8K time during the team's previous race.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Laframboise paced the men during the 8k, finishing in third place with a time of 27:12.00, the best finish across all Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) participants.
- Senior Patrick O' Connor (Cheshire, Conn.) was next to cross the finish line for USJ, finishing in 51st place with a time of 33:56.30.
- Junior Jayden Medina (Plantsville, Conn.) rounded out the Blue Jays on the men's side, placing 95th after posting a time of 41:00.11, a one minute and 44 second improvement over the his time in the previous race.
- Junior Faith Shores (West Simsbury, Conn.) was the lone USJ runner in the women's 6k, placing 14th after recording a time of 28:11.10
UP NEXT
Cross country returns to action next on Saturday, October 12 for the James Earley Invtiational. Hosted by Westfield State University, the action is set to begin at 10:00 a.m. at Stanley Park in Westfield, Mass.
