Laframboise Earns GNAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week Accolades

WINTHROP, Mass. - Junior Braeden Laframboise (Southington, Conn.) of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) men's cross country team was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Runner of the Week, it was announced by the conference front office on Monday afternoon in its sixth weekly report of the 2023 campaign. It marks the seventh career GNAC weekly honor for Laframboise, the second for him this season, and the third for the USJ cross country team this year.

Laframboise continued his record-breaking 2023 campaign, shattering the program's 8K record after finishing the James Earley Invitational's men's white 8K race, in 30th place with a time of 26:44.35. The time was 37 seconds faster than the program's previous record, which Laframboise set earlier this season at the Founding Tree Invtiational. Laframboise was also the highest placed GNAC runner at the James Earley Invitational, finishing ahead of Norwich's Alek Villavicencio by nearly three minutes.

UP NEXT 

Laframboise and cross country team returns to action next on Saturday, October 14 for the Connecticut College Invitational at Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford, Conn. The men's 8K is set to begin at 10:00 a.m.
