Laframboise Named GNAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week

WINTHROP, Mass. - Junior Braeden Laframboise (Southington, Conn.) of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) men's cross country team was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Runner of the Week, it was announced by the conference front office on Monday afternoon in its second weekly report of the 2023 campaign. It marks the sixth career GNAC weekly honor for Laframboise and the first for the USJ cross country team this year.

Laframboise had a stellar showing at the Cardinal Invitational this past Saturday, recording an eighth-place finish after crossing the line with a 6K time of 19:51.1. The time was nearly a minute faster than his performance at the Cardinal Invitational last season. Laframboise's eighth-place guided the Blue Jays to a fourth-place finish as a team, placing ahead of intrastate foe Western Connecticut and GNAC opponent Mitchell College. 

UP NEXT 

Laframboise and the men's cross country team returns to action next on Saturday, September 16 for the UMass Dartmouth Invitational, hosted by UMass Dartmouth. Taking place at the Robert Dowd Cross Country Course in Dartmouth, Mass., the men's 8K is set to begin at 11:15 a.m.
