Men's Swimming & Diving Falls at Norwich Saturday Afternoon

NORTHFIELD, Vt. - The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) men's swimming and diving team fell on the road at Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) foe Norwich University, 203-43, Saturday afternoon at Goodyear Pool in Northfield, Vt.

TOP PERFORMANCES

  • 400 Yard Medley Relay – The team of freshmen Chris Capen (Wilbraham, Mass.), Aiden Hebb (Waterbury, Conn.), Nate Brasky (Madison, Conn.) and graduate student Joseph Guerin (Bristol, Conn.) finished in second place, combining for a time of 4:08.87.
  • 1650 Yard Free –  Guerin topped the timing chart for USJ, finishing in fifth after posting a time of 20:42.86.
  • 200 Yard Free – Capen finished in second place, touching the wall in a time of 2:03.78
  • 50 Yard Breaststroke – Brasky recorded a second place finish, recording a time of 29.51 seconds.
  • 50 Yard Free - Freshman Viktor Orzolek (Newington, Conn.) placed third, posting a time of 26.83 seconds.
  • 100 Yard Free - Brasky paced the team with a second place finish, touching the wall in a time of 54.37 seconds.
  • 100 Yard Back - Capen finished in second place, posting a time of 1:01.24.
  • 100 Yard Breaststroke - Hebb finished in second place, recording a time of 1:03.95 to break his own program freshman record.
  • 500 Yard Free – Orzolek posted a fourth place finish, tallying a time of 6:01.31.
  • 400 Yard IM – Hebb finished in second place, recording a time of 4:44.75.
  • 800 Free Relay - The team of Brasky, Capen, Guerin and Hebb finished in second after combining for a time of 8:22.96.

UP NEXT

The Blue Jays return to the pool on December 6th for the Connecticut Cup, hosted by Wesleyan University at the Webster Family Natatorium in Middletown, Conn.
