McGarrah V Named GNAC Player of the Week

WINTHROP, Mass. – Senior midfielder Henry McGarrah V (Hartford, Conn.) of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) men's soccer team was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week, it was announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon in its ninth and final weekly report of the 2023 season. It marks the first career GNAC weekly honor for McGarrah V and the sixth weekly accolade for the Blue Jays this season. 

OFFICIAL GNAC RELEASE 

McGarrah V paced the USJ offense during a 2-0-0 week, netting three goals across the two games. The senior began the week with a brace during the Blue Jays, 4-0, regular-season finale victory. McGarrah V rounded out his week by scoring the final goal in the team's 3-1 GNAC Quarterfinal victory against Dean. McGarrah V has been a spark plug for the Blue Jays in 2023, appearing in all 17 games, making nine starts, and ranking second on the team with nine goals scored.

UP NEXT 
The Blue Jays head to second-seeded Johnson & Wales University for the GNAC Semifinals on Tuesday, October 31. Kickoff from the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex in Providence, R.I., is set for 4:00 p.m.
