
Men's Lacrosse Reveals 2025 Schedule
WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) men's lacrosse team and sixth-year head coach Andrew Fink have announced the schedule for the upcoming 2025 season. Highlighting the 16-game regular-season slate are eight home games, which are set to be played on the USJ Lacrosse Field on the campus of USJ.
FULL 2025 MEN'S LACROSSE SCHEDULE
The men's lacrosse program begins the 2025 campaign with a two-game homestand, starting with a matchup against Emerson College of the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) on Saturday, February 15 at 1:00 p.m. The Blue Jays then host crosstown foes the University of Hartford of the Conference of New England (CNE) on Wednesday, February 19 at 3:30 p.m. USJ then heads on the road for the first time in 2025, making the trek to Purchase, N.Y., to face Manhattanville College of the Skyline Conference (Skyline) on Saturday, February 22. The Blue Jays round out the opening month of the campaign on Wednesday, February 26, visiting Nichols College of the CNE in Dudley, Mass.
USJ rounds out a three-game roadtrip to open the month of March, traveling to Worcester, Mass., to face Clark University from the NEWMAC on Saturday, March 1 at 1:00 p.m. The Blue Jays then return to WeHa to round out the non-conference portion of the 2025 slate, hosting Wheaton College of the NEWMAC on Saturday, March 8 at noon. The men's lacrosse team then begins its defense of its Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) crown, opening up conference play by hosting Emmanuel College on Saturday, March 15 at 1:00 p.m., before hosting Elms College on Saturday, March 22 at 3:00 p.m. USJ closes out the month of March with a rematch of the 2024 GNAC Championship game, heading to Franklin, Mass., to battle the Bulldogs of Dean College on Saturday, March 29.
The Blue Jays head back to the USJ lacrosse field to battle Johnson & Wales University on Wednesday, April 2, before beginning a two-game conference road trip in Standish, Maine against Saint Joseph's College of Maine on Saturday, April 5. USJ rounds out the quick two-game road slate in Newton, Mass., for a meeting with Lasell University on Wednesday, April 9 at 6:00 p.m.
The final four games on the 2025 schedule feature two at home and two on the road. USJ first welcomes Rivier University to the USJ Lacrosse Field on Saturday, April 12, before playing its final two regular season road games of the year, starting with a trip to New London, Conn., to face intrastate foes Mitchell College. USJ then plays its final road game on Saturday, April 19, heading to Northfield, Vt., to face Norwich University. Wrapping up the regular-season slate, the Blue Jays welcome rivals Albertus Magnus College to the USJ Lacrosse Field on Wednesday, April 23.
The top four teams in the North and South Divisions will advance to the 2025 GNAC Playoffs, with the Quarterfinal round set to take place on Saturday, April 26 at the site of the top-two seeds in each division. The GNAC Semifinals are set for Tuesday, April 29 at the site of the highest remaining seeds, before the 2025 GNAC Championship game on Saturday, May 3 at the site of the highest seed.
The Blue Jays are coming off a historic 2024 season that saw the team lift its first GNAC Championship, finishing the year at 17-4 overall and 9-1 in conference play. USJ took down Dean College in the GNAC title game, before besting SUNY Poly at home in the opening round of the 2024 NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Tournament. The Blue Jays saw their historic season come to a close in the SEcond Round, falling to the number-one team in the country, Salisbury University.
