SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – Evan Baden (Burlington, Conn.), Benjamin Green (Chelmsford, Mass.), Jackson Halladay (Massena, N.Y.) and Matt Crisco (North Haven, Conn.) of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) men's lacrosse team have been selected to the 2023 New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) Division III All-Academic Team, the organization recently announced.

2023 NEILA All-Academic Teams

Members of the NEILA All-Academic Teams are nominated by head coaches in Divisions I, II and III, and are comprised of student-athletes who have excelled both in the classroom and on the field over the course of their men's lacrosse career. Nominees must have senior or graduate student standing, a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale and be an impact player for their team.

In total across all divisions, a record 333 student-athletes from 59 different colleges and universities were selected to this year's NEILA All-Academic Team, an increase of more than 100 student-athletes from last year's record-setting selections. The quartet were four of 213 Division III players representing 39 different institutions to receive NEILA All-Academic honors, and four of 45 student-athletes from the Great Northeast Athletic Conference.

Massachusetts Maritime Academy led all institutions with 19 student-athletes who qualified for the honor. The University of Massachusetts had 16 honorees, while Boston University saw 13 players earn All-Academic status.
