OFFICIAL GNAC RELEASE

McCann was locked in between the pipes this past week for USJ, helped lead the Blue Jays to a critical 2-0 GNAC week, and secured a spot for Saint Joseph in the upcoming postseason tournament en route to earning his second career GNAC Goalkeeper of the Week award. McCann stopped 29 of the 38 shots on goal that he faced this past week to post an impressive 76.3 save percentage, allowing just nine goals over a two-game span for a 4.50 goals allowed average in a pair of complete-game victories between the pipes.

The 6-0 junior net minder opened the week by making a season-high 17 saves, including the 300th of his career, in an upset win at home over Dean on Wednesday, 7-6. McCann followed that up with another terrific performance at home on Saturday versus Saint Joseph's College of Maine, as the Simsbury native made 12 more saves in an 8-3 triumph over the Monks, which clinched a spot for the Blue Jays in the upcoming GNAC postseason tournament for the second consecutive season.

Entering the final week of the regular season, McCann is currently 6-7 on the year between the pipes for the Blue Jays and has made 110 saves. In just under 700 minutes logged in goal, he also currently sports a 10.08 goals allowed average and 48.5 save percentage.
