OFFICIAL GNAC RELEASE

McCann has played a crucial role in helping the Blue Jays get off to a 1-1 start to the 2021 season. The sophomore out of Simsbury, Conn. racked up an impressive 27 saves across the opening pair of games, while allowing just 11 goals for a 6.71 goals allowed average. In the season opener on March 5 versus Eastern Connecticut, McCann did everything he could between the pipes to give USJ a fighting chance, matching his career-high with 18 saves in an eventual 8-2 setback. He followed that up with nine saves in just 38 minutes of action as the Blue Jays toppled Mitchell, 22-4, in their second game of the season. McCann boasts the best save percentage (71.1%) amongst all GNAC goalkeepers to start the 2021 campaign.

Paltauf has wasted little time making a huge impact in a USJ uniform and has been a catalyst to help the Blue Jays get off to a 1-1 start to the 2021 slate. Paltauf racked up 13 points across the opening two games of the season, netting a pair of goals to go with 11 assists. Paltauf, a true freshman out of Southbury, Conn., factored in both of USJ's goals, with a goal and an assist, in an eventual 8-2 setback to Eastern Connecticut in the season opener on March 5. He followed that up with a goal and school-record 10 assists in what would be a 22-4 route of Mitchell College on March 10.
