Bio
Tyler Olander enters his third season at USJ in 2024-25 after joining Glen Miller's coaching staff in August 2022. In addition to recruiting responsibilities, practice planning, and game strategy, Olander concentrates on player development. He has mentored and helped develop four All-GNAC First Team players, a GNAC Player of the Year, and a NABC All-American. During Olander's coaching tenure, the program has won thirty-two consective regular-season conference games, a GNAC Tournament Championship, participated in two NCAA Tournaments, and reached a National Ranking of No. 1.
Olander graduated from the University of Connecticut (UConn) in 2014 with a degree in Political Science and was a two-time National Championship player at UConn. As a versatile forward, Olander played a pivotal role in the Huskies 2011 and 2014 NCAA Championship runs. After his collegiate success, Olander took his talents to Europe, where he played two seasons professionally. His international experience enriched his understanding of the game and gave him a global perspective on basketball strategy and player development.
