Mitchell Named to NABC All-America Second Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Senior guard Tyree Mitchell (East Hartford, Conn.) of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) men's basketball team was named to the 2023-24 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division III All-America Second Team, it was announced by the association Wednesday. The All-America honors are voted on by NABC-member coaches from across NCAA Division III.

Mitchell becomes the second player in USJ men's basketball history to earn NABC All-America honors, joining former teammate Jaecee Martin (Hartford, Conn.), who earned the same designation following the conclusion of the 2021-22 season. The list features the top 30 men's basketball student-athletes from across the country as each of the three NABC All-America teams have 10 representatives on them. The 60 student-athletes who were named to their All-District First Team, which was announced yesterday, Tuesday, March 12, were considered for All-America honors.
