Mitchell Selected to 2024 NABC - Reese's Division III College All-Star Game
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Rosters have been announced for the 2024 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) – Reese's® Division III College All-Star Game, and senior guard Tyree Mitchell (East Hartford, Conn.) of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) men's basketball team has been selected to participate as a member on Team Moore. Mitchell marks the first-ever selection in USJ men's basketball history for this event, which is set to be held Saturday, March 16 at 12:30 p.m. ET at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Ind.
The Division III All-Star Game, held in conjunction with the 2024 NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Championship and played prior to the national championship game, features the top senior talent across Division III. It will be broadcast online, with D3hoops.com's Pat Coleman and Dave McHugh on the call.
The teams are composed of 20 senior student-athletes from across the country in Division III, including 18 at-large selections and two who were selected by online voting on D3hoops.com. Players whose teams are still playing in the Division III NCAA Tournament were not available for consideration. Rosters include representation from each Division III region. Mitchell was selected as the lone participant from Region I.
Former Wooster coach Steve Moore and former Marymount and Frostburg State coach Webb Hatch will serve as coaches for the two Division III All-Star teams.
