Martin was key in the second half of USJ's 76-63 win over Bates College in the HoopMIA D3 Holiday Shootout last Thursday, in Miami, Florida. He scored all six of his points in an 18-2 second-half run to open up USJ's first double-digit lead of the game, clinching the win, and an unbeaten record while in South Beach.

On the week, Martin helped guide the Blue Jays to a 2-0 record with wins over Eastern University, 77-60, and Bates College, 76-63, in the HoopMIA D3 Holiday Shootout. He averaged eight points and five rebounds and shot 6-for-15 (40.0%) from the floor in 25.0 minutes per contest over the two-game span.

Martin has put together a solid rookie campaign for the Blue Jays, averaging 11 points (fifth-best on the team) and nearly five rebounds per game (third-best). He has wowed O'Connell Center crowds with a series of tenacious tomahawk jams, and continues his steady improvement at the guard position.
