Field Hockey Dealt Setback at Home by Rivier Saturday, 5-2

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Despite two goals from junior forward Maya Tomko (Sparta, N.J.), the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) field hockey team dropped a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) contest, 5-2, to the visiting Rivier University Raiders Saturday afternoon at the USJ Field Hockey Field in West Hartford, Conn. With the result, the Blue Jays fall to 3-10 overall on the 2023 season and 3-6 in GNAC play, while the Raiders improve to 6-7 overall and 6-3 in conference games.

Field hockey returns home for Senior Night on Wednesday, October 18, hosting intrastate and GNAC rival Albertus Magnus College. The action between the Blue Jays and Falcons is set to start at 6:00 p.m. at the USJ Field Hockey Field in West Hartford, Conn.
