They scored eight first-half goals to take total control of the contest, as junior midfielder Makenzie Dinger (Hingham, Mass.) led the charge with three goals and an assist to total seven points on the day. A trio of Blue Jays added two goals apiece, including junior defender Cayleen DeFaranos (Northford, Conn.), senior midfielder and captain Taya Valdez (East Lyme, Conn.), and sophomore midfielder McKenna Gibson (Old Saybrook, Conn.). Six different players scored in total for USJ, who scored more goals Monday than they had all season.
