Cormier is going into his second season with the Blue Jays in 2025, working primarily with infielders. In his first season at the University of Saint Joseph in 2024 as an assistant coach, the Blue Jays finished with a 17 – 22-1 record. Clinching the first playoff appearance and playoff win in program history. The Blue Jays also had five players earn All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference selections.

He spent the previous summer coaching the Westfield Starfire's of the FCBL, one season after experiencing coaching the Worcester Bravehearts. On top of collegiate coaching, Cormier teaches private lessons for players of all ages and specifies in hitting and in fielding.  

Prior to his time in West Hartford, Cormier was a standout student-athlete at Nichols College. Cormier spent five seasons as a Nichols College Bison where he played all three infield positions. He also captained the team in his final two season at Nichols. Cormier was also a ABCA/Rawlings All-New England 3rd Team member in 2022 and D3Baseball.com All-New England Region Second team in 2021.
