Baseball Suffers First Loss of 2025 Season to Western New England Tuesday

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) baseball team suffered its first loss of the 2025 season, falling to the visiting Western New England University (WNE) Golden Bears, 9-5, in non-conference action Tuesday afternoon at the USJ Baseball Field in West Hartford. Conn. The Blue Jays and Golden Bears were tied, 4-4, through six innings of play, but WNE pulled away late, plating five runs to just one for USJ over the final three innings to claim the victory. With the result, the Blue Jays dropped to 2-1 overall on the season, while the Golden Bears remained perfect to start their 2025 campaign and improved to 3-0.
