Bio

Wole Oke was named the Associate Athletic Director at the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) in September of 2019. Oke is responsible for overseeing compliance, student-athlete welfare, facility scheduling, and recreation/wellness.

Oke most recently served as the Advisor for Student-Athlete Success at American International College in Springfield, Mass., where he was tasked with overseeing the development and implementation of programs designed to enhance the academic, athletic, social, personal, and professional development of AIC's 500 student-athletes. Prior to AIC, Oke worked at Wheelock College in Boston, where he was an Assistant Athletic Director, in addition to serving as head coach of the men’s and women’s cross country teams. Oke led the Wildcats to their first-ever New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Championship in women's cross country in 2015, and was a two-time NECC Coach of the Year (WXC 2015, MXC 2017).

In his administrative role at Wheelock, he oversaw the department's operating budget and game-day operations for the Wildcats. Additionally, he directed the development and implementation of all student-athlete welfare initiatives, and even served as the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Advisor.

Oke earned his master's degree in sports leadership from Northeastern University in 2011. In his time at Northeastern, Oke also worked as an Athletic Development Graduate Assistant. He completed his undergraduate degree at the United States Sports Academy in Daphne, Ala., in 2009, majoring in sports studies. He also had previous stops in the Boston area with Harvard University, the Boston Cannons, the Boston Breakers and Simmons College. Oke is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in organizational leadership at Northeastern University.
