Bio

Sue Remington begins her first year as Assistant Athletic Trainer at USJ in 2023-2024.

Remington comes to Saint Joseph after most recently being an assistant AT at Sacred Heart Greenwich in Greenwich, Conn. Prior to her year at Sacred Heart Greenwich, she was a graduate assistant AT at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield. While at Sacred Heart, Remington received her masters degree in social work. Before beginning her masters program, Remington was also an assistant AT at Sacred Heart.

Prior to her time at Sacred Heart, Remington spent one year at the King School in Stamford, and served as an assistant AT at Castleton University in Castleton, Vt. Prior to her time with the Spartans, Remington spent five years as the AT at the Hamden Hall Country Day School in Hamden. At Hamden Hall Country Day School, she developed an AT policy for school, managed the  AT Budget, wrote and implemented standing orders, developed, wrote, and implemented EAP and Crisis intervention policy and implemented American Red Cross AED, CPR, and BLS training program for the faculty and coaching staff. Remington also was a Clinical Preceptor at Quinnipiac University and Southern Connecticut State University while at Hamden Hall Country Day School.

Before joining Hamden Hall Country Day School, Remington spent two years as an AT at Wilbur Cross High School in New Haven, and seven years as an AT for Allied Health and Rehabilitation in West Haven. She also spent time as an AT at Norwalk High School, nearby University of Hartford, West Virginia University and Yale University.

Remington is a member of the National Athletic Training Association as well as the Connecticut Athletic Training Association.

Remington received her master's degree in kinesiology from the University of Michigan in 2001, where she was a graduate assistant AT for men's gymnastics. She received her bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Virginia Tech.
