Bio

Matthew Madison is in his fifth year as Assistant Athletic Trainer at USJ entering 2023-2024.

Madison comes to Saint Joseph by way of Southern California, but his most recent stop was at Central Connecticut State University (CCSU), where he served as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Blue Devils, primarily working with the women's basketball team, while receiving his Master's in Physical Education in the spring of 2019. 

Prior to his two years at CCSU, Madison was an AT at neighboring Conard High School in West Hartford, working with student-athletes in basketball, football, soccer, volleyball, track, lacrosse and field hockey. He worked for the Chieftains in conjunction with his work in the Hartford Hospital Rehabilitation Network, where he spent two years assisting physical therapists in an outpatient rehabilitation clinic, while also providing athletic training coverage for community events.

Madison received his bachelor's degree from Springfield College in 2015, where he was a student-trainer in football, men's soccer and women's field hockey, all while working at the rehabilitation clinic in Springfield.

Madison enjoys volleyball, golf and hiking. He currently resides in New Britain, Conn.
