Bio

Megan Bosworth is in her fifth year as USJ's head athletic trainer for the 2023-2024 athletics season. Megan also serves as the Assistant Athletic Director and SWA.

Bosworth joined the Blue Jays after serving as an assistant athletic trainer at neighboring Division III University of Hartford for the past seven years. There, she was primarily responsible for working with the men's soccer and baseball teams.

Prior to Hartford, Bosworth spent one year at the United States Coast Guard Academy (USCGA) where she worked with the women's soccer, women's basketball, sailing, crew, and men's & women's track and field teams. Before assuming her position at USCGA, she attended the University of Connecticut, earning her graduate degree in Kinesiology in 2011 while working as a graduate assistant at Bloomfield High School. As Bloomfield's head athletic trainer, Bosworth was responsible for providing injury prevention, treatments, rehab and coverage for all sports. 

Before graduate school, Bosworth was an assistant athletic trainer at St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia, Pa. for the 2008-09 academic year. With the Hawks, she worked with women's soccer and baseball, while serving as an ACI for international physiotherapy students.

Bosworth is a member of the National Athletic Training Association as well as the Connecticut Athletic Training Association and Eastern Athletic Trainers Association. She also serves as a clinical supervisor for the University of Connecticut Athletic Training Students.

She has twice been published, including her graduate thesis, Individual and Combined Effects of Hyperthermia, Dehydration and Fatigue on Balance. During the 2012 National Athletic Training Association convention, Bosworth presented her second publication, Hypohydration and Hyperthermia Impair Neuromuscular Control after Exercise, which is published in the Official Journal of the American College of Sports Medicine.

Bosworth resides in Simsbury, Conn. with her husband Alex, and their two sons Ainsley and Elliott, and dog Shadow.
