Ricci Named GNAC Goalkeeper of the Week
WINTHROP, Mass - Junior Megan Ricci (Center Moriches, N.Y.) of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) women's soccer team was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Goalkeeper of the Week, it was announced on Tuesday afternoon by league's front office.
Ricci posted a pair of clean sheets in as many games to start the 2018 campaign 2-0 for the Blue Jays. The 2017 All-GNAC second team netminder stopped 10 shots over the weekend without surrendering a goal in 180:00 minutes of action between the pipes. She made four saves in the season-opening 1-0 win on the road at Manhattanville on Friday before stopping six shots on goal in a 4-0 rout at Dean on Sunday.
